This is a great live blues album. Dave Specter is one of the better current modern day artist keeping the Chicago Blues sound alive and well. Dave has a sound that is blues at its core, but a touch jazzy (check out the openning instrumental).4/5(6).

This is a great live blues album. Dave Specter is one of the better current modern day artist keeping the Chicago Blues sound alive and well. Dave has a sound that is blues at its core, but a touch jazzy (check out the openning instrumental). One of the bluesmen who has been contributing to that diversity is guitarist Dave Specter, whose Live in Chicago was recorded in August at two of the Windy City's blues clubs: Buddy Guy's Legends and Rosa's Blues Lounge. Specter, true to form, gets his inspiration from a variety of places, tackling everything from electric bar blues on Chick Willis ' "Feel So Bad" .
